I don’t think I’ve ever worked so hard in my life on cleaning anything as much as I’ve cleaned our house over the past week. OK, I didn’t do it all my self, of course… Lisa worked hard and my mum – bless her heart! – helped clean a lot. In fact, I would swear that mum actually performed a miracle on the kitchen sink, because I thought that was a totally lost cause.
In the past week I’ve been to the tip about six times, taking approximately 27 rubbish bags full of stuff (and yes, we did seperate for recycling!), and free-cycled what was good enough to pass on. It truely is amazing how much crap you can accumulate and not even realise it!
But anyway, the house now looks wonderful – really clean and big (well, it would with 27 bags of rubbish out of it!). We’ve had three estate agents come to view it and give us an estimate. We’ve decided to go with a company called Lampons as they gave us the best fee rate. The agent will be around on Monday to take photos and we’ll be officially on the market selling our house. Great news is that people are crying out for houses our size, in our area and for the price we’re looking for. So this will hopefully be a really quick sale…. Yeah, I know, famous last words.
