What’s in a name?

We’re stumped! We’ve had a girls name decided for quite some time now, well, years actually. But we don’t have a boys name at all! OK, that’s not quite true. We have half a boys name picked out… maybe. But we really can’t decide on a first name. Any ideas? (Oh, and no, we’re not naming the kid after you.)

— Just a quick update; no, we don’t know we’re having a boy (or a girl, come to that, but we’re pretty sure it’s going to be one or the other), but it’s just Sod’s Law that just because we have no idea of a boy’s name that we’ll have a son!

Um, aren’t you supposed to name kids after their grandparents? Isn’t it a law, or something? I mean, that’s how my brother ended up with the middle name “Grover” and my cousin got “Angus”!! Too bad you’re not Scottish; then you could use the name Hamish and everyone could call him “Hammy” and you could buy a bunch of “Over the Hedge” merchandise for him to wear. It’d be so cute. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m pretty sure it IS a law, but we’re anarchists.

Course, anything’s better than Grover and Angus!! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Heh, yes, most things ARE better than Grover and Angus. Except maybe Elmer, which would have been the middle next boy’s middle name in the family. Luckily for that boy, he never came to pass! ๐Ÿ˜‰

We exhausted two of the three best boys names we could think of. Liam was actually Kyle until the very last moment.

I like Kyle though and it’s still available ๐Ÿ˜€
